Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use my own image, or only templates?
Both. Drop any image from your disk, or browse the built-in template picker powered by the Imgflip API — thousands of popular meme templates, selectable with one click.
Does aukimi store my uploaded images?
No. The image stays in your browser the entire time — the composition runs on a local canvas and the final PNG is downloaded directly from memory. Nothing is uploaded to our servers.
What font is used for the top and bottom text?
Impact — the classic meme font — with an automatic black outline for readability over any background. You can change the font, size, color, and outline width in the panel.
Can I add more than just top and bottom text?
Yes. Click Add Text Box to drop additional text layers, then drag each one to position it anywhere on the image. Useful for multi-panel memes, speech bubbles, or captioning specific regions.
Why is the default all-uppercase?
Visual convention — the classic Impact-font meme uses MAJUSCULES. You can toggle the UPPERCASE option off for normal case. Most image memes read better uppercase at small thumbnail sizes (Twitter, Reddit).
What export formats are available?
PNG with an opaque background (best for social media). The resolution matches your source image, so if you dropped a 1920×1080 template, the meme exports at 1920×1080.
